Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is looking for his team to make a fast start to the new Premier League season.
The Frenchman saw his side win the Community Shield on Sunday afternoon at Wembley thanks to a 4-1 penalty shootout victory following a 1-1 draw with Chelsea.
And he is hoping that the squad can carry that form into the first game of the season as they look to recapture a top four spot.
“We had the intensity in the games in our preparation that is needed to be ready.” he said.
“Let’s go into the Premier League with the same discipline, the same spirit and see where we can go.” he added.
Arsenal face 2015/16 Premier League champions Leicester City at home in their first game of the campaign.
