Chelsea are reported to be confident that manager Antonio Conte will agree to a new contract.
The Italian coach has two seasons left on the deal he penned last year, but Chelsea are keen to extend the contract after his title-winning debut season.
The forty-seven year old oversaw a comfortable run to the Premier League crown as well as a defeat in the FA Cup final against rivals Arsenal.
He had been linked with a return to Serie A with Inter Milan, but they have appointed Luciano Spalletti and that clears the way for Chelsea to get a deal agreed.
There are rumours that Conte wants more control over transfers as part of any agreement and Chelsea are yet to make any additions in the Summer window so far.
