Manchester United have released Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The speculation that the former Sweden international would be allowed to move on from Old Trafford was confirmed by the Premier League club today.
The thirty-five year old had moved to join them a year ago from French giants Paris Saint Germain and went on to become their top scorer last season.
But he suffered a season ending knee ligament injury in April and the recovery period has been deemed too long by United.
Speculation is rife that the former Barcelona forward will now head to an American club in Major League Soccer once he is back to fitness.
